During class, participants learn about the different types of plant starts, including annuals and perennials, and the best practices for nurturing them. Students explore soil types, watering techniques, and the importance of light, all while cultivating their appreciation for nature and sustainable gardening. The experience of transplanting these young plants into their gardens helps reinforce lessons learned in class, making the process both educational and rewarding.

Additionally, they can explore the crops being grown, understand the farming processes, and even participate in hands-on activities like planting seeds or harvesting vegetables. This immersive experience not only enhances classroom lessons but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the environment and the hard work that goes into food production.
